Díe Scholle was (is) a long-established monthly educational magazine with each issue consisting of about 60 pages, though in later years as paper shortages caused by the war increased so the number of pages was reduced to about 30.

Though mainly a text led publication each issue usually has some illustrations and photographs to accompany the articles which cover everything from handwriting to dinosaurs!
